of Jetplanes, Helicopters, and Heatstroke

We went to the Chico AirFest this weekend.

we hung out with the coast guard guys the most. here are the kids going into the Hercules HC-130, which has a cute face like a KC-130/135 which is my favourite plane. next to it was mom's favourite the harrier, actually 2 different harrier models.

i have actually seen this plane in Demo's and was disappointed it was just gonna sit there.

for micah, my helicopter friend in alaska we got a picture with the helio guys.

Tali was scared of the jets at first but was ok after watermelon and being able to see what made the noise helped too. here she is with her whistle. the kids got some nice goodies from both the USAF and coastguard, i let chai shake the soldiers hands

it was a pretty decent air show, but having lived them my whole life is was so ready to go home. turns out, i had heat stroke and spent most the afternoon and evening on the bathroom floor. guess i should drank more when i was forcing fluids down the kids. it was 103 in town and approx 120 at the airport. yuck!

Looks like the kids had a great time!

Our local air show is right outside my building. So, I generally have no burning desire to go. It is always a great thing especially when they are arrriving and we can watch it all relatively close . . . this morning, we've been watching the departures.

Moms! They always make sure everyone else is taken care of first . . . I've been there and done that too!

I hope you are feeling better soon!
