coming up to the surface

i know long time no blog!
i never got the ickiness, but didnt sleep for 5 days. also didnt knit b/c i was afraid some one would puke on a WIP. i have several socks waiting for toes and the ferragamo has one side done. but there are no pictures of those.
so i have no knitting to show, but i do have these to show you:
blue i trade with becca. it is only half of the fiber. such a perfect blue though the flash changed the colour here. this week at the paradise spinning guild we will be talking about plying so i need some singles to play with. i really want to use this with a bright white for a kippah.
then brooke sent this alpaca in my dirty knitter package
can you tell the second bobbin i started is thinner than the first? i have not checked the wraps per inch yet. when plyed i hope it will be sock weight. this is my first non sheep handspun. i was a little afraid to try it, but it is so much easier to get a tiny thin starnd of this. it was less like roving and more like a fluffy top. so is that why? should i be combing my rovings? advanced spinners, adivce on combs would be welcome!

Hey there,
I'm glad to hear you've survived intact. Are the kids all well again? I'm totally impressed with the spinning. And I'm going to try to figure out how to join the guild I think. (schedule wise).
I did it... I bought the Louet drop spindle kit. Now I just have to figure out how to use it!!

yeah, it seems that in your house, if one gets sick, all do! Maybe some more handsanitizer? I haven't ever tried airborne yet, but being a school teacher does come with its risks. I've already been sick twice this school year.

I hope you're feeling better now.
