my elizabeth bag, designed by the fabulous miss julie...(how is it she can come up with these addictive things) is close to done. our cammera was magically returned, a lil worse than it left, but if it is still operational i hope to get pix up.

i am collecting a list of heather who knit. pixie stix and knola knits made this button! very heather.

yesterday as we were getting up for church, i began spotting. so we had to go to feather river. They had a hard time finding the heart beat, but finally did. 140. all is fine now. we were washing cars for our canada work project and i had run after tirzah and sam playing tag. sam yelled at me and i told him "i have done cartwheels while pregnant with the others, i think running is ok" . alright this would be the difference between pregnant at 19 and pregnant at 29. i am almost 30. 24 more days to go. my body is already there, but it may take another decade for my mind to catch up!
by the time we got home the email said i was im labor! boy, i am glad some one told me. after 5 kids, i had no idea i was in labor. the good thing is no well meaning and loving people showed up. but baby is fine and i am to rest for awhile, so we are going to bubbe's.
sam is hiking all day with his boss. Really hoping he heres from the other place with an awesome offer. but if he doesn't this is a good job. and it has hiking perks.
he has been debating quitting youth stuff again. they are acting like just a bunch of uninterested, do-for-me kids right now, and after 2 yrs, he is sick of it. they want to do fun things but every one else has to pay for it. so now that no one is paying, they just do nothing.
last night having an AWOL marine call up, hang up twice and call him a liar was not a good thing. but like i told him, who cares what a kid who is throwing his life and career away thinks! i mean it is a big difference to be AWOL in the air force than it is with the marines! he was supposedly going back saturday. now he is with the "i am the new jesus christ" white supremist and his girlfriend. so should sam really care what they think? they don't care about their own lives or futures. and may just stay like this forever!!!! so i say focus on the kids who are trying to grow up and make something of themselves.
working on travelers stockings...shorter than in interweave knits.
trying to get the big sophie done for my cousin.
baby socks to match kippah for the future Brit Milah of Kayin.
fuzzy purse needs to be done in 3 weeks for aunt's reunion thingy she wants it for.
have to teach socks on circs for this next months sock group....
not to mention dreaded dog sweater on tuesday and suede purse.

also my bestest girl is turning 30 BEFORE 2 days. so i need to get her present in the mail!
oh, my secret pal should get her first gift this week. hope she likes it.

and we're off!

hurray! SP5 has begun. hi secret pal!
as soon as the blogs are up i will enjoy seeing who is participating this time around.
i hope everyone had a good experience last time. i have succeeded in getting a few more people to sign up from my neck of the woods so i don't drive "to the big city" to mail things.
after much teasing i finally updated my amazon wish list. ( it said i had 4 kids...oops just a lil behind)
while researching the family tree stuff mom found out that way back, there are women in my family who started and ended having kids 30!!!!!! years apart! my grandma was born when her mother was 50. so the fact that my body thinks all it is suppposed to do is thwart my birth control and have babies is a genetic well as a G-d thing. can you imagine another 20 years?????? of babies!? sheesh! my friend naomi was the oldest of 14. i was pregnant the same time as her mom which was weird. and we both have kezziah's. i think we are going to stop with this one. ;-)
i am finishing up grownup short row heels, on a 12" circ. (heehee no double points needed til the toe!) and they match the baby socks i made! i am thinking of making sam some socks...but i am worried he will kill them.
we are doing socks on circs in june. so i have to pull that book out...i haven't used it since last summer.
off to finish up school and get ready for the youth group's tree 63 concert at the fair.

Mazel Tov!!!!

i can't belive i forgot to tell you!!!!
last week was our ultrasound.
my mom, my dad, my kids, my hubby and yes, even my grandpaw came!!!
we had to take shifts so everyone could see. it was very cute, but the pictures came out really bad except for the foot. yes, it was a big foot too! cuz it is a boy!
you could see him rub his hand across his "hair". and curl his legs up and then kick the ultrasound thingy.
oh, i sonora i was asked 2 questions- 1: are you 25? 2: is this your first baby?
you should have seen their faces! no i am 30 next month, and it is my 6th.
i was so certain it was gonna be a girl. i told sam that it is probably me always trying to get back the girl we lost. i had even put on my target registry that it was a girl. oops! now i have to change things!
so we are thinking " kayin jedidiah". i have loved kayin for years "celebrated/hoped for". mom has wanted a jedidiah for years, and it has a good meaning..."friend of G-d/beloved of G-d"
so if any one liked talia grace, it is yours!
so 3 boys, 3 girls. which is funny cuz i come from a family of mostly girls, and sam's is almost all boys!
"walker's don't have girls" as my inlaws say. well the springmann's only have girls so there!

The aborted Generation stands up

Approximately 4,500 babies are aborted a day. (EWTN) In the U.S. there were 1.53 million abortions performed in 1992. The state of New York alone had the highest rate of abortions at 46.2 abortions for every 1,000 women of reproductive age. Nationally, the rate of abortion is about 25.9 women per 1,000. (Planned Parenthood) Since 1973 35 million abortions have been performed. 43% of women over the age of 45 have had an abortion. 13+ so far in my family alone

Sonora Spoiled

i just came back from the pastor's wives retreat, in sonora...close to yosemite...sorta.
i had a wonderful time! they do a great job at spoiling us. also rhonda stoppe who is one of my favourite people, gave me an attitude adjustment, last year she really kicked my butt! this year maria kim kicked my butt. she spoke on obedience. ouch! "obedience is doing what you don't like to do, with respect and honor, without challenge, excuse or delay." -Tripp
i am gonna make the kids memorize that one!
i also hooked up with several knitters while there. and taught continental style knitting to julie.
hi girls!!! do not forget to sign up for SP5.
i also attended a class on post abortion syndrome. there are ALOT of abortions in the 3 generations of us. legal and ones in other countries when it was illegal. i was amazed at the list of symptoms, even though my mom was a PACE counselor. it was a good class on heaing.
i returned home and saw my teenagers before i saw my own family. i love them, the little trouble makers! they were defending me. our janitor had me in tears friday over a piece of scotch tape that i used. then said i was acting out of pregnant emotions/hormones when i asked him nicely what i was allowed to use. i didnot say "well, what the hell do you want me to use to tape up admission info????" so i was insulted completely, but this has been an ongoing battle. last week he threw our things that i had purchased for youth group in the trash!! our pastor made him dumpster dive for them. so he is still pissed off.
on top of that he stole, yes, stole and hide backpacks, amps, and other things the youth group has to use. my missing digital camera...i would not be surprised if instead of one of our juvi kids, he had actually taken it!
so i was given a good round of support from my teens. then when it was time for evening service dork-butt started in on me again. sam has told him if he has a problem to go to him. hopefully he will. cuz i can only smile and nod for so long before i bite his head off!
now i am off to the dr about my shoulder. it seems i took my tendons and rolled them back -like over the top of my shoulder???? yuck. it popped out of place yesterday and slid back.
YET I CAN STILL KNIT, which is what is important to the yarn store...even though they do not pay me or give me a discount on class stuff or ANYTHING. well there was that one time., terry gave me a discount on needles he didn't want the store to carry. so i am probably not going to work there long. class intrest is waning for summer and i have better priorities to take care of.
the classes actually cost me more in supplies and time than in what i make on attendance. it was so much fun to just knit with other people without demands! i enjoyed this weekend so much!

Ok I was Just CRAWLING!!!!!

i totally hurt my shoulder crawling over bella! seriously!
i have had my knee give out many times, but never my shoulder!
it is believed to be a tendon issue BUT since i am MRI or Cat scans,
oh and as far as pain relief...sucky tylenol and ice.
so i may have to cancel my knitting classes tomorrow....unless some one wants to drive.
i can not drive the stick obviously!
this arm has to get better. in 4 mons it will be holding a baby...for the next 2 years!
my typing is slow too so i am off to bed. there is a weird ted dekker book waiting for me.

zemeira and kezzi with grandmama's sangria & bobble purse, before it was lined

Mother's Day

yesterday at church, i got the mom with the most kids prize. IT WAS WEIRD. toni always won, and i knew with that many old ladies there had to be some one with more kids than me. Nope.
so with 5.5 kids, i won. what did i win? a cute lil book full of encouraging words for moms.
then we had lunch with grandpaw, and a movie, then sam had to leave early for a personel committee meeting. i did not see him again til 9pm. i got home, checked the messages, not much, no wishes..remember that! no mother's day msgs.
Well today sam's dad calls to yell at him for not calling his mom. THERE IS NO CELL RECEPTION AT GRANPAW"S!!!! Did they call me? the mother of their grandchildren? nope..remember no messages. did they send cards? nope. we sent 2, one from adults, one from kids. but sam gets yelled at when i didn't even get to see him. notice the MIA brother of mine did not call, or send anything. but we expected that. is any one going to yell at him? no. of course not. no temper tantrums in my family. ALSO they have to make sam feel like crap over everything else they feel should be better. these are the people that said "you would be better off at McDonald's" when he was working FOR NASA!!!!! (you get free cheeseburgers at mcdonalds, it is much better than decent pay and space technology ya know.) so i got to send a defeated man to work. thanks for being great parents!!! good job guys. nothing like making your kid feel like crap in order to feel parental. after 11 years why am i surprised???????

Now i did have a lovely day! wonderful presents from sam, the kids, my secret sister (mpbc),my mom and dad. and then we had such a great day with grandpaw now that the tweaker is out of his life and off his property. the kids made homemade potatoe chips with him and bella filled his M&M man collection with new m&ms. she was very worried about them being empty. she didn't want to eat them, just set things right. now that jan is gone, she even asked grandpaw if she could spend the night in a room at his house. even bella knew it was safe with out the psycho now.
i am speaking at WOM today. keep your fingers crossed!
Have you signed up yet? May is the month to register for this 3 month long event! It was great! I met Alison and Miranda and Ranee and Alice and everyone else whose blogs I read. Join us!

short row shaping

i am making my first toe up sock, with a short row heel.
sock 1 had too many eyelet holes..think i was wrapping wrong. this one turned
out really nice. it is very tiny, a baby sock. one by freebie ofcourse.
sam brought home roses and my annual corsage. in ten years i was only with out one once for mother's day...the jobless, cashless year. we are having lunch with grandpaw cuz the tweaker is off his property. yippee!!!! hopefully it will be a nice relaxing afternoon.
Lewis is valedictorian for his class this year! Super proud of him his band is playing tonight in paradise. so sam is there supporting him along with some of the teens. after giving his speech he will be going on tour with cycle down. wonderful and sad. we will miss him.

I am in the system!

the ladies apparently think i need maternity clothes.
this is probably due to the fact that foolishly thinking i was not having any more kids (ha!)
and i gave away everything. clothes, bassinet, boppy pillow, baby snuggly, all of it.
(pregnant friends and teenagers)
did any one give it back??? no of course not!
so i went to target so i could register for my maternity shower.
i hate pink. so i go online, nope it is all pink!
so i picked a few things out, i still will have to go to motherhood and see what colors they have there.
walmart has never had clothes in the past, and i am not a kmart girl. so i had faith in target!
how could they betray me!?
but they have cute baby stuff! so i will forgive them even if their knitting kits are cheesey.
